Collaboration between The Pan-Pacific Business Association (PPBA) and The International Network of Business and Management Journals (INBAM)

PPBA and INBAM have entered into a collaborative working relationship to support each organization's professional goals. As the first step of this collaboration, each organization is committed to promoting the annual conference of each other.

The Second Annual INBAM Conference "Brokering Knowledge" will be held in Valencia, Spain March 20-22, 2012. As a major feature of the conference, Editors-in-Chief of 14 leading SSCI or SCI journals of business and management will organize sessions for each journal's focus area. The Editors who have confirmed their participation in the conference are as follow:

  • Sang M. Lee and Jose Millet (Service Business: An International Journal)
  • Domingo Ribeiro (Management Decision)
  • Bruce Tracey (Cornell Hospitality Quarterly)
  • Gary Akehurst (Service Industries Journal)
  • Vlad Vaiman (European Journal of International Management)
  • Theresa Welbourne (Human Resource Management)
  • David Audretsch (Small Business Economics)

  • Robert Blackburn (International Small Business Journal)
  • Slawek Magala (Journal of Organizational Change Management)
  • Adrian Ziderman (International Journal of Manpower)
  • Rodney Turner (International Journal of Project Management)

The overall theme of the conference will be broken down into subtopics, with a total of 13 sessions, one for each journal. Thus, the various areas of business and management will be covered. The more detailed information about the conference can be found in the following website: (www.inbam.net).

The journal editor corresponding to each area will open the session with an outline of Strategic Trends of his/her journal. Authors of accepted papers in each track will make presentations in the chosen session. One of the results of the conference will include those selected papers will be accepted for publication in a Special Issue of each journal, depending on the quality of the papers and the unique situation of the journal.

Each of the 13 tracks (and consequently the Special Issues) will have coordinators who may eventually serve as the quest editors of Special Issues. We invite global scholars to submit papers and proposals to the Conference Chair.
